Gateway offers a variety of social, recreational and fitness activities that provide members with the opportunity to maintain an active and healthy social life, improve access to local events and facilities.

Community transport is also available to members and all activities are supported by an Activities Coordinator and trained volunteers.

How to join Gateway?

People aged under 65

Eligibility for Home and Community Care (HACC)

  • Are you aged under 65 and/or have a disability?

  • or Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander aged 50 or over?

  • Living independently or with a carer?

  • Are you intested in being physically and socially active?

  • Do you reside within the cities of Hobsons Bay, Maribyrnong or Brimbank

  • Are you aged 65 and over?

  • or Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander aged 50 or over?

People on an Aged Care Pack Package (ACP)

If your are receiving or in the process of being assessed for Aged Care Package levels 1,2,3 or 4, we will need to determine if your current package has funds available for Social Support activities.

A Fee For Service arrangement may need to be negotiated with Gateway, contact our office to discuss your individual needs.
